Outdoor Area

The outdoor area of PACIFICO Yokohama consists of Rinko Park, Koryu Zone and Pukarisanbashi Pier.
Each area features its own unique scenery such as stone-pavement, lawn, and waterfront; you will appreciate a vast open-air space of lush greenery and water.

Rinko Park
Rinko Park is the largest green space in the Minato Mirai district, with a great view of the Port of Yokohama in front of you. With a number of spots worth seeing, such as spacious Lawn Space, Shioiri-no-Ike Pond, the gently curved Seaside Promenade, Arch Bridge that offers a view of the high-rise buildings in the Minato Mirai district, and beautiful art works, the park is loved by many people as a place to relax. Using the park for events or film-shooting is also available.

Koryu Zone
“Plaza,” a round square in the center of “Koryu Zone” consisting of a beautiful cobblestoned street connecting the facilities in PACIFICO Yokohama, and “Convention Hall Terrace” on the ocean side of the National Convention Hall of Yokohama have been the venues for a variety of events as well as TV dramas, CM filming, and magazine photo-shootings.
“Deck on the 2nd Floor on the Ocean Side of Exhibition Hall,” which offers views of Rinko Park and the Port of Yokohama at the same time, and “Seaside Promenade on the Ocean Side of Conference Center,” which offers a beautiful night view of the city close-up, are recommended for strolls.

Pukarisanbashi Pier
Pukarisanbashi Pier is the terminal for the water bus “Sea Bass” and the harbor cruise boats in the Port of Yokohama and the representative Oceanside entrance to Minato Mirai. On the 2nd floor, there is a floating restaurant “Seafood Bistro PIER 21” where you can dine while watching boats circulating in the Port of Yokohama and the Bay Bridge.

Rinko Park

Lawn Space
Rinko Park is the largest green space in the Minato Mirai district, with a great view of Port of Yokohama. The park is full of seasonal plants and art objects. Many visitors come and relax in this comfortable space.

Rinko Park South Exit Square

This cobblestoned square next to the National Convention Hall of Yokohama is the entrance to Rinko Park.
Monthly flea market (on an irregular basis) and Minato Mirai Bon-odori Dance Festival in summer take place here. Local people as well as many visitors come and join these events.

Rinko Park Shioiri-no-Ike Pond

The name “Shioiri-no-Ike” (tidal pond) comes from the fact that the water level in the pond changes according to the tidal action.

Rinko Park Arch Bridge

This is the best spot to admire the night view of the high-rise buildings in the Minato Mirai district.

Rinko Park North Exit

The entrance toward Yokohama Station. Water tanks are equipped on the underground floor as preparation for disasters.

Rinko Park Bicycle Parking Lot

Bicycle Parking Lot is located at the North Exit, which is convenient for the cyclists visiting the park and PACIFICO Yokohama.

Board of Wind Power Plant “Hama Wing”

On the ocean side of South Exit Square, the “Power Capacity Board” that displays the current wind power output and wind speed of “Hama Wing,” the wind power plant. You can see “Hama Wing” across the water.

Early Tsunami Warning System

The system is located at South Exit Square to issue an evacuation warning using outdoor speakers when there is a risk of tsunami after a powerful earthquake. Please listen to the public address system in case of a disaster.

Koryu Zone

Koryu Zone Plaza

Located in the center of “Koryu Zone” with a beautiful cobblestoned street connecting the facilities in PACIFICO Yokohama, the “Plaza” has been the venue for a number of events and film-shootings.

Koryu Zone Convention Hall Terrace

A variety of events as well as TV drama / CM filming and magazine photo-shootings have taken place here in the “Convention Hall Terrace,” located on the ocean side of the National Convention Hall of Yokohama.

Koryu Zone Seaside Promenade

Seaside Promenade is a perfect boardwalk for walking or running while enjoying the sound of ocean waves.

Koryu Zone Deck on the 2nd floor

“Deck” on the 2nd floor is a walkway that connects the facilities within PACIFICO Yokohama. The best area is the ocean side of Exhibition Hall where you can view Rinko Park and Port of Yokohama at the same time.

Koryu Zone Queen Mall Bridge

Queen Mall Bridge, which is connected to Minano Mirai Station, is an entrance to PACIFICO Yokohama.

Pukarisanbashi Pier

Pukarisanbashi Pier is the terminal for the harbor cruise boats in the Port of Yokohama and the Oceanside entrance to Minato Mirai, which has been attracting many visitors. Pukarisanbashi Pier Lounge

You can purchase tickets for the water bus “Sea Bass” and the harbor cruise boats “Marine Shuttle” and “Marine Rouge” here.

Seafood Bistro PIER21 is a floating restaurant where you will feel like you are dining aboard a cruise ship.

Notice

Information about Shioiri-no-Ike Pond

According to the inspection implemented in September 2008, the park decided that the pond would not be open to the public for the time being as the facility could not assure the safety of visitors. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Information and guidance for users of the outdoor area

Rinko Park, Koryu Zone and Pukarisanbashi Pier are the green space belonging to the Port of Yokohama and are subject to the regulations for use of the port facilities.
In order to offer pleasant spaces to visitors, the following activities in this area are prohibited. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

*Some of these activities might be permitted under specific conditions.

  • Using vehicles / motorcycles / bicycles
  • Practicing golf / baseball / fishing (including lure fishing)
  • Using of skateboards / roller skates
  • Playing loud musical instruments
  • Using fire / fireworks, bringing hazardous materials
  • Overnight camping including using a tent
  • Unleashing pets such as dogs and not cleaning after them
  • Feeding pigeons or other animals
  • Advertising / selling, distributing flyers, organizing any event, commercial filming
  • Destroying / defacing facilities and equipment in the park
  • Using unmanned aerial vehicles including drones
  • Any other activities that might interfere with the enjoyment of other park users

Guidance for users of the outdoor event space

The Basic Condition for the use of the green space for events

Among the Rinko Park related facilities, Rinko Park (areas for events including South Exit Square) and some areas of Koryu Zone (Plaza / Terrace of the National Convention Hall of Yokohama) where events can be held are the “green space” belonging to the Port of Yokohama, and managed by PACIFICO YOKOHAMA Pacific Convention Plaza Yokohama, the administrator designated by the city of Yokohama.
The event organizers are asked not to interfere with the enjoyment of other visitors to this green space, to respect their safety and comfort, and to be cooperative with the management of this green space as well as the maintenance of the surrounding environment.

Criteria for the use of facilities

  Events / sales which are confirmed to fulfill the “basic condition” in the 1st section by the designated administrator’s decision.
Events
  • Events of an appropriate size that will not disturb other visitors, including test-ride events and events for a limited number of participants.
  • Only public organizations* can hold or co-hold events exclusively for the participants by reserving the entire green space.
  • Only events held by public organizations or organized / co-organized / supported by the designated administrator can collect an admission fee.
  • Events that are likely to offend public order or morals.
  • Events including religious activities such as proselytizing.
  • Fund-raising / petition gathering / recruiting / distributing leaflets.
  • Events for advertising (except for authorized events which should be of the smallest scale possible)
Sales
  • Sales of goods and food associated with events.
  • Fairs or flea markets held by public organizations.
  • Fairs or flea markets held or co-held by the designated administrator.
  • Events mainly for sales.
  • Sales events other than mentioned in the left column.

*Public organizations: Definition

Fees and cancellation fees

2) Payment
Please make a one-time payment for the green space rental fee to the account designated by the designated administrator prior to the deadline specified on the invoice.
Please make a payment for restoration fees (damages / defacements), cleaning / waste disposal fees, or water / electricity fees within one month after the date of the invoice.

3) Cancellation fees and postponement
(1) Even after your reservation is confirmed, it will be cancelled if you have not sent us the “application form” or you have not made payment by the due date.
(2) In case of cancellation of the reservation / application due to your own decision after the confirmation, please contact us immediately. The cancellation fees are as follows:

(3) In case of alteration of the contents of your event due to your own decision after the confirmation, please contact us immediately. If the alteration is significant, you may need to cancel the reservation that is already confirmed and reapply for the reservation.

(4) If the event is cancelled due to bad weather, you can postpone it to another day. The postponement is applicable only one time. The fee is not refundable when you do not postpone the event to another day or the postponed event is cancelled again due to bad weather.
