The National Convention Hall is one of the facilities that defines PACIFICO Yokohama.
After being opened in 1994 as the only national conference hall in eastern Japan, the National Convention Hall has welcomed many guests as the stage for a variety of events ranging from international conventions to concerts. Normally, we regularly let guests in to view the large stained glass window indoors depicting a starry night sky, but due to COVID-19 infection prevention measures, the area is currently off limits to visitors.
We are making our facilities open to public viewing using 3D and VR technology to hold virtual private showings as the stay-at-home order continues. Just as last time, this special event is being held in collaboration with the cooperation of a VR innovation organization which volunteered to take the necessary photographs for us.
Other than the beautiful stained glass based on the sketch of the artist Hirayama Ikuo, there are many other building features worth checking out. For example, the facade with a shellfish motif, the sea-themed interior design, artwork in the stair hall, a reception room that has welcomed many VIPs from Japan and abroad, the backstage, and more.
*You can enjoy the images using a PC or smartphone, but with special VR goggles or VR glasses, you will be amazed by much clearer VR images.
*For a comfortable viewing experience, a stable network environment is recommended.
