Sustainability
At PACIFICO Yokohama, we are pursuing a diverse range of initiatives aimed at realizing a sustainable society.
Sustainability is Integrated in all that we do
What is SUSTAINABLE?

It means “able to maintain something at a certain level.” In particular, it often refers to industry and development that can be maintained while at the same time preserving the global environment. Three main perspectives are included: in addition to initiatives addressing environmental problems, there are also economic considerations, such as business relations and employment, and also the social aspect, including activities that contribute to society.
Activities are expanding across a wide range of fields, not only limited to conventional initiatives for environmental problems, but also from viewpoints such as “preservation of the global environment for the future” and “social development on condition that it does not harm the interests of future generations.” In the MICE field, at the London Olympics and Paralympics, the concept of “sustainable” was adopted for the first time at a summer Olympics. With this as a starting point, efforts to create and implement international standards for event operations are underway. On a worldwide level, initiatives aimed at SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) are also gaining momentum.
The MICE field has an extensive range of related industries, and it is our wish at PACIFICO Yokohama to carefully consider and expand initiatives for sustainability together with our clients.
