Our COVID-19 Policy
We have taken the following steps to preserve the safety of all customers.
To ensure the safety of customers, we have alcohol hand sanitizers at the entrance to each facility. We also disinfect high-touch areas after the use of each day.
◆Areas where alcohol sanitizer is available
- Entrance to each facility
- Every toilet room for seat disinfection
◆Main areas to disinfect
- Microphones, podium, podium for MC, etc.
- Door knobs/door handles, handrails, etc.
Ventilation in Venue
Air conditioning and ventilation systems are constantly working to bring in fresh air.
Preventing Closed Space
To avoid situations where many people gather in a poorly-ventilated crowded closed space, the smoking areas in venue are closed for the time being.
We offer equipment to prevent the spread (partitions for splash protection, etc.). Hand dryers in restrooms are unavailable, so please be sure to bring a handkerchief, etc.
Ensuring Social Distancing
We recommend a socially-distanced layout. Seats in resting areas such as foyer and concourse are placed with social distancing.

Discussion with PACIFICO Yokohama
Prior to an event, we have a briefing with an event organizer and relevant parties to ensure a safe environment for customers.
Considering Event Details
◆Plan event avoiding 3Cs (closed spaces, crowded places, close-contact setting)
◆Consider seating arrangements and layouts ensuring social distancing
- For venues with fixed seats, such as the National Convention Hall of Yokohama, and the Main Hall of the Conference Center will implement so-called “chequerboard” seating arrangement with an empty seat in front, back, and on each side of each seat
- For venues with flat floors, such as the Conference Center, Annex Hall, and North, the maximum number of seats will be about 50% of the basic layout, maintaining a space of 2meters (minimum 1meter) between seats
- The number of visitors allowed to enter the Exhibition Hall at one time will depend on the area used
◆Adapt the registration process and set-up to avoid queue onsite
◆Conduct temperature checks or ask attendees to report temperature before entering venue
◆Collect attendees’ contact information when they register for the event
Preventing Spread among Event Organizers' Staff
◆Provide staff with face masks, sanitizers, etc.
◆Ensure that staff wear masks and wash and disinfect their hands and fingers
◆Check staff’s daily physical condition (check temperature every morning, etc.)
